I met a young man who is doing something really great and inspiring in Jos at the KIC Battlle 2015, I was so marveled at the innovative way his organization's project was portrayed and as usual I went to see him, congratulate him and of course find out about his amazing organization.

PassionConnect Initiative proudly presents 8ytmanetwork, founded by Mr Shammah Buwanhot. 8ytmanetwork, is an NGO that caters for the social and intellectual needs of kids, they focus on the need for

competency in society and provide platforms for access to safe, critical and reinforcing information that will create new positive ideologies, thereby equipping individuals to become change agents to theirselves and society.

Since the year 2006, the organization has been running public seminars, school debates, rallies and human right campaigns, parenting conferences, relationship building dinner programs, gift trade workshops, discussion groups in universities, community services, social media campaigns, counseling traumatized students and other humanitarian activities.

8tynametwork recently launched the next phase of its project titled: ‘ME AND MY RESPONSIBILITY SERIES- ‘DISCIPLINE’ -for kids from the ages of 5-12. With a strong belief that in-discipline and corruption can only be eradicated if we change our value system. This manual seeks to emphasize more on what needs to be done, rather than how societal values are deteriorating. Tools such as manuals and comic

books are some of the mediums that are kid friendly and can be used to help kids learn about discipline in a very healthy and exciting way. Helping them understand discipline is helping them realize we have some boundaries, which are meant to keep us within certain parameters. This will foster a well enabled society, where we can move peacefully.

8ytmanetwork is in partnership with other organizations in Nigeria and other countries such as D.R.C

Kinshasa, USA, and India. They are still very much in need of partnership with other relevant organizations who can sponsor or support them in some areas such as funding for projects, provision of logistics, materials for workshops and venues for events.
